Help and answers for the KeepWhen iOS app (com.codalbyte.keepwhen).

Include your iPhone model, iOS version and KeepWhen version. Describe what you were doing, what happened and what you expected. If useful, attach a screenshot with names, notes, photos and other personal information hidden. Never send passwords, Apple Account credentials or a full journal backup.
How do I record something I have done?
In Your things, tap Done next to an activity. KeepWhen records the date and updates the last time. If you have already done it today, open the activity and choose the option to record it again today. To record an earlier date, choose the option to log another day.
Can I correct an entry?
Yes. To undo today’s entries, tap the Done checkmark on the activity card in Your things. KeepWhen asks for confirmation if there are multiple entries, notes or photos; earlier entries stay in your journal. For other changes, open the entry from Journal or from the history in the activity’s detail page. You can edit its details, add a note or delete it. Adding new photos requires Pro; photos already saved remain available to view without Pro.
What is included for free?
You can keep up to five active activities, record them as often as you like, add notes, browse your journal and calendar, and use search, favorites and simple reminders. File backup and restore, colors, appearance options and app icons are included.
Is KeepWhen Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase with no renewals. It includes unlimited activities, iCloud synchronization, photos in entries, interactive widgets, Siri and Shortcuts, personal rhythm insights, custom categories and advanced reminders. The app shows the price in your currency before you purchase. Apple handles the payment.
I already bought Pro. How do I restore it?
Open Settings in KeepWhen and tap Restore purchases. This option is also available on the Pro screen. Make sure the App Store uses the Apple Account you purchased with and that your device is connected to the internet. Restoring the purchase reactivates Pro. Your journal is recovered through iCloud if synchronization is on and the data is already there, or from a backup you saved.
How does iCloud synchronization work?
When Pro is first recognized on an installation, including after a restore, Sync with iCloud turns on automatically. You can turn it off in KeepWhen Settings: that choice is kept when you reopen the app or restore the purchase again on the same installation. Devices you want to sync must be signed into the same iCloud account. Activities, journal entries and photos sync when you open the app; check the latest update status. You can keep using KeepWhen offline and sync changes when you are back online.
If data is missing, check your connection, iCloud sign-in and available storage, update KeepWhen and open it on both devices. If the problem continues, contact us with the message shown in the app. Do not delete the app as a troubleshooting step before verifying that you have a copy of your data.
Can I keep a copy of my data without Pro?
Yes. In Settings, choose Save a backup and keep the file somewhere safe. To import it, choose Restore a backup: KeepWhen merges the data with what is already there without duplicating the same entries. The file may include notes and photos, so share it carefully.
If you already have data in iCloud, you can use the iCloud recovery option without Pro. This retrieves existing data; it does not enable synchronization of new changes.
Where are Archive and Trash?
Find them in Settings or in Collections on the Your things screen. Archive pauses an activity while keeping its journal. Trash keeps an activity for 30 days: restore it to Archive, then reactivate it from there. After 30 days, the activity and its journal are permanently deleted; if the app is closed, cleanup takes place the next time you open it.
Why am I not receiving reminders?
Check that alerts on this iPhone are enabled in KeepWhen Settings and that the individual activity’s reminder is on. Also check that iOS allows notifications for KeepWhen. Focus modes and notification summary settings can affect how alerts appear. Reminders are scheduled locally on each device.
Does KeepWhen collect usage data or crash reports?
The app does not include third-party analytics or diagnostic services and does not send this data to Codalbyte or Google. There is no data-sharing switch. Apple may handle statistics and diagnostics through its own services and settings. For privacy requests, contact [email protected].
